Love and Romance

We all like a bit of Love and Romance and of course February is the month that we all concentrate on to show someone special our feelings.  I am no different from anybody else and this little card is how I have expressed myself!

I began with taking a piece of White Card and attaching my new 6 x 6 Seaweed Stencil from Clarity Stamp to the back.  I then ran this through my Bigshot.  I taped this onto a piece of copy paper (leaving the stencil in place underneath...I simply forgot to take it out)  I shaded around the edges with Red ink from my Ranger Big n Juicy red ink pad using an Ink Duster. I stamped Small Birch Leaves randomly. I also stamped in the sentiment Loved You Yesterday...

At this stage I took a make-up sponge and darkened all around the edges. I then took my Pro Marker - Poppy and drew in some small hearts.  I also added some Satin Hearts which I coloured using the Pro Marker.  The hearts came from a pink ribbon and some of the inserts were still attached so I made good use of them.

I trimmed my image and once again using my Pro Marker I took it along the edges.  I mounted this onto White Card, added an insert (can't show you as it is personal).  Then hunted through my stash for an envelope to fit.  Then I have had to wait to write my post as I had no internet for nearly a month!  The card looks quite pink here but in real life it is red...promise!   Note to self! Have to get that lighting adjusted.

I am entering this card into the following challenge:

Forest Mask from Clarity Stamp

Hi again Folks!  My New Forest Mask from Clarity Stamp is brilliant!  Just love it!  I have only had one little play with it and it was a quickie and even though it is done one the cheapest of copy paper it's going up on my wall in my new craft room!

The mask is part of my first Happy Post from Clarity Stamps New Design Club Members Half Price Sale that happened in January.  And as I am a member I just HAD to partake!

I bought 6 Clarity Stamps to add to my collection and one Mask.  In the middle of packing up house for the big move I just had to stop and have a little play.  I took samples of my new stamps and then I pinched a make-up sponge from the bathroom (clean one) and I actually opened a box that contained my folder that holds my masks to get out the Clarity Stamp Moon Mask....(no-one saw me open it).  The picture shows the full mask ...I had already lifted and replaced the mask hence the air bubbles.

So after getting the moon mask I placed part of the Forest Mask onto my sheet of copy paper and placed the moon mask on top of that.  I then took my new ink pad Archival - Cornflower Blue and my make-up sponge and dabbed lightly around the trees and moon.

I then placed all the little bits of the mask into the spaces where they fit and very carefully I put the top part of the mask into place too.  I then removed the Moon Mask and the bottom part of the  Forest Mask making sure all the little bits were still in place and using the same ink pad ( this was the only one that was still unpacked) I dabbed in the colour making it a fair bit darker than the sky.

I removed the mask and put all the little bits back onto the carrier sheet.  I then took the Top Part of the Forest Mask and placed it lower down the page and once again I dabbed the same ink only this time making really dark.  I repositioned the mask once more and did the same with the ink.  I put the mask back onto the carrier sheet, gave it a clean and then stood back to look at what I had created.

I am quite happy with my little play with copy paper, ink pad, make-up sponge and a mask!

So Happy Crafting and I will be back soon  as I did get a 2nd and a 3rd Happy Post xxx

HAPPY POST!!!

Hi Folks!  At last I am back on the Internet. And WOW have I missed a lot.  So now that I have settled into my new home and my New Craft Room is well under way and a certain company have finally got me back on the Internet I can get on with my daily fix from all you crafters out there and also maybe share some with you. xxxx

Just before I moved (literally) I received my first lot of HAPPY POST from CLARITY STAMP.  I was in the middle of packing up my kitchen when the mail arrived and having already packed up my craft room I was running about daft looking for a bit paper to stamp on.  So I managed to get a few sheets of copy paper and fortunately for me I had ordered an ink pad (every month Clarity Stamp do a deal on an ink pad among other things) January's was an Archival Ink - Cornflower Blue.  But then you must be saying to yourselves...she has packed up her craft room, what good is the ink pad if she can't stamp.  Well let me tell you what happened.......

Necessity is the mother of invention they say!  Well I din't invent this item but I did make good use of it. After running about the house with this ink pad in my hand I ended back up in the Kitchen.  I had been packing away all the items made of glass. Kitchen was a right mess what with all the tissue, bubble wrap and corrugated paper.  My eyes were drawn to my glass butter dish of all things!  So there was me, brain going 'ten a penny' ....base too large to get a hold of...mmm...but the lid has possibilities....nnnnn....lids not flat it's got ridges all along it...mmm....doesn't matter brand new stamps from Clarity Stamp are thick enough that the ridges won't matter and cause they are sticky on the back they will stick to the dish no problem! Sorted!!

Yes!  So the result of my impromptu stamping with my make do stamping block turned out great.

I was very happy with it and it didn't even matter that my son thought it was hilarious that I couldn't wait a couple of weeks to get my craft room up and running to start stamping....they just don't understand, oh well!

I have another little post coming up shortly as I also got a lovely Forest Mask in with this mail and I had a little play with it.  So see you soon.  Hugs to all!

p.s.  The new stamps which are now a part of my collection were all purchased at half price in the twice yearly New Design Club Members re-mountable sale.  It is well worth joining.  More of my purchases coming up soon. xx
